Iranian public health service asks for expert help from the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine

From 17 to 21 May 2004, delegates from 192 Member States in the World Health Organization (WHO) gathered at the annual World Health Assembly in Geneva. The theme of this year's assembly was eHealth. As WHO's only Collaborating Centre in telemedicine, the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST) in Tromsø was invited.

Facts about the NST:

The Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine is a research centre and centre of expertise which aims to gather, produce and disseminate knowledge about telemedical services, both in Norway and internationally. The NST's mission is to promote the use of telemedical services. The NST has about 110 employees, and in 2002 it was designated as the first Collaborating Centre in telemedicine by the World Health Organization (WHO).
