NST perform applied research on telemedicine and e-health. This is an interdisciplinary field and is reflected in NSTs research and development. Our researchers therefore consists of both technologists, social scientists, psychologists, lawyers and educators. We aim to be a leading research institute in the field, both nationally and internationally. Through future-oriented research is NST a key player in the development of health and care services.
Development of new healthcare must be based on a broad, multidisciplinary foundation of knowledge. NST research on all levels of health care: disease prevention, self-management, primary and specialist healthcare and rehabilitation.
